IT Infrastructure Manager (Over $75K)

Job Duties:

• To plan, develop and maintain project plans for the Windows Operating System upgrade, Infrastructure Equipment Replacement and EDR implementation, including scope, schedule, milestones, and risk management.

• To plan and coordinate the procurement of computer hardware, software, and IT services and perform vendor management in accordance with operational requirements and established government guidelines and procedures.

• To allocate and manage computer facilities for around 400 staff stationed at Tamar and remote office(s).

• To design a flexible and scalable network architecture and IT support arrangement to accommodate evolving operational requirements.

• To facilitate provision of dedicated PCs and network equipment connected to cross-departmental networks to enable access to various bureaux/department internal systems.

• To provide professional advice on IT-related expenditures, including hardware, software, and services, and support budget planning and control.

• To ensure compliance with relevant IT policies, standards, and security requirements.

• To coordinate with internal stakeholders

• To oversee system testing, user acceptance, deployment scheduling, and post-implementation support.

• To manage risks and operational impacts associated with system upgrade and security implementation.

• To monitor project progress and provide regular reports to management.

Requirement Details:

• Degree holder

• At least 10 years’ experience in IT industry

• Proven experience in managing IT infrastructure implementation and/or system deployment projects.

• Experience in office IT setup, LAN/network implementation, mobile devices, and enterprise desktop and server environment management.

• Experience in managing operating system upgrade projects, infrastructure replacement projects and/or IT security solution implementation (e.g. EDR) is highly desirable.

• At least 3 years’ experience work with/in Government project

• Experience in project planning, budgeting, vendor coordination, and resource management.

• Strong leadership and coordination skills with the ability to manage multiple projects concurrently.

• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.

• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with demonstrated capability in managing risks and issues.

• Ability to adapt to changing project requirements and work effectively under pressure.

• Good command of written and spoken English and Chinese.
