The HKIC is looking for a highly talented individual to fill the position of:
Manager - Curriculum Development and Quality Assurance

The applicant must possess:

  1. a recognised degree, preferably in construction / education;
  2. a minimum of 10 years’ post-qualification experience in overseeing or implementing outcomes-based education and training or quality assurance, formulating guidelines, preparing Committee / Board papers;
  3. good track record in preparing the accreditation documents and vetting programme proposal, syllabus, teaching material and assessment;
  4. commitment to high levels of quality and continuous improvement;
  5. a very good knowledge and experience in VPET and Hong Kong Qualifications Framework (HKQF);
  6. excellent organisation skills, influencing skills, resourcefulness, proactive working attitude and willingness to take up extra responsibilities;
  7. good interpersonal skills and be able to communicate effectively to various stakeholders both internal and external to the organisation; and
  8. excellent command of both written and spoken English and Chinese.

Duties include:

  1. to execute and implement plans according to the strategic direction of accreditation journey for HKIC and its programmes;
  2. to vet and revise the syllabus, teaching materials and assessments for outcomes-based programmes and provide relevant coaching to teaching staff;
  3. to execute the plan for the Continuous Professional Development scheme through structured staff training, coaching and consultation on Quality Assurance (QA) and Qualifications Framework (QF);
  4. to draft Committee / Board papers on QA policies and guidelines, reports of programme vetting/validation exercises, etc;
  5. to cooperate with programme teams to ensure the programme development and management in compliance with established policies and guidelines;
  6. to provide relevant committee secretariat support and attend meetings; and
  7. to carry out any other duties as assigned from time to time by the Executive Director.
