Health and Life Sciences Discipline

Ref. no : C/CW-HLS/DO/09/26-AP1

Major Duties:

(a) To assist in supervising the oral care workshops or seminars;

(b) To provide dental screening and emergency services for the promotion of dental hygiene and preventive dental service;

(c) To assist senior management in programme design and development, validation and the implementation of quality assurance policy;

(d) To design educational kits to promote oral health care;

(e) To supervise Dental Hygienists and Dental Surgery Assistants’ work; and

(f) To assist Senior Dental Officer in preparing interim report and annual report on the performance of the programme.

Requirements:

(a) A recognised degree in Dentistry or relevant professional qualification in Dentistry, preferably with a post-graduate qualification;

(b) Qualification of registered Dentist under the Dentists Registration Ordinance (Cap. 156) in Hong Kong and valid practicing certificate issued by the Dental Council of Hong Kong;

(c) At least 5 years’ relevant experience;

(d) Good records of professional development and linkages with the industry;

(e) Good administrative, interpersonal, communication and team building skills; and

(f) Good presentation skills and a high level of proficiency in both English and Chinese, preferably including Putonghua.

Notes:

(1) The post is at the rank of Senior Lecturer.

(2) The work location is in IVE (Chai Wan).

(3) Shortlisted candidates will be required to take a written assessment.

(4) The appointee(s) may be required to perform duties outside normal office hours and at different work locations as assigned.
