ELECTRONICS TECHNICIAN / PROJECT TECHNICIAN - iOT ODM Product Development & Manufacturing Company (Kwun Tong/5 days work)

Role Mission

• To provide hands-on technical support for the design, development, and production of IoT hardware products—from concept through to production-ready deliverables. 

• Working under the guidance of senior engineers and the Project Manager, you will contribute to design validation, certification preparation, and production handoff to ensure high-quality, compliant, and successful product launches for our international clients.

Role Summary

• This is an entry-to-mid-level technical role within a fast-growing Hong Kong ODM company. 

• You will work closely with senior engineers, international clients, and Asian manufacturing partners to develop connected electronic products. 

• You will be involved in the full product journey—from schematic design and PCB layout to design validation, certification support, and production handoff. 

• Ideal for technicians who are eager to learn and grow through exposure to the complete process from concept to production.

Key Responsibilities

• Report to and support the Project Manager and Senior Engineer in day-to-day project and technical activities.

• Assist in IoT hardware and firmware design and development from concept through to production-ready deliverables.

• Support validation activities from engineering prototypes through to mass production.

• Assist in certification preparation (FCC, CE, RCM) and pre-compliance testing.

• Collaborate with clients and internal teams to capture requirements and convert them into product specifications.

• Operate in-house test equipment (spectrum analyser, oscilloscope, VNA, meters) for design validation and debugging.

• Support production tooling handoff with Asian CM (Contract Manufacturer) partners.

• Maintain accurate design and validation documentation: schematics, BOMs, test reports.

• Participate in analog and digital circuit design and PCB layout activities under supervision.

• Contribute to embedded firmware development and testing (C/C++, RTOS, embedded Linux).

• Coordinate with industrial design teams for seamless product integration.

• Ensure design compliance with international certification standards.

• Perform soldering, board rework, and troubleshooting on PCBs as needed.

• Demonstrate a “can-do” attitude—self-starter, committed to getting the job done.

Ideal Candidate

• Diploma or higher in Electronics, Electrical Engineering, or a related field (fresh graduates welcome).

• 1–3 years of electronics/technician experience (or relevant internship/project experience).

• Solid electronics background with familiarity in PCB design and manufacturing processes.

• Proficient in soldering skills and board rework.

• Hands-on experience with test equipment: oscilloscope, multimeters, spectrum analyser, VNA.

• Basic PC and Linux skills; any programming experience is a plus.

• PCB design experience is a big plus.

• RF knowledge/experience is a big plus.

• Clear understanding of requirements, specifications, and basic validation processes.

• Proficient in English communication skills.

• Willingness to collaborate with Chinese/SE Asian CM (contract manufacturer) partners.
