We are now looking for a suitable person to fill the following position in the Facilities Management Office:
Facilities Officer (Facilities Management) (FMO) (Ref: 26001RD)
Major Duties and Responsibilities
The appointee will be responsible mainly for the following:
Monitoring and evaluating contractor performance in the delivery of facilities management (FM) services, ensuring adherence to quality standards and compliance;
Assisting in the development and implementation of facilities management policies for the University, contributing to strategic planning initiatives;
Providing comprehensive logistical support for university-wide events, ensuring that all requirements are met efficiently;
Managing the handling, response, investigation, and follow-up of feedback and complaints related to facilities management services;
Supporting supervisors in team management and operational tasks, fostering a collaborative and productive work environment;
Aiding in the preparation of FM-related tenders, ensuring compliance with University standards and requirements; and
Performing any other duties as assigned.
Candidates
Candidates should possess the following qualifications, experience and competence:
A recognised bachelor’s degree.
A minimum of two years of relevant working experience, preferably within tertiary education institutions, public organisations, or large-scale property management companies.
Ability to lead and manage contractors and handle a complex, varied workload.
Self-motivated, able to work under pressure, with excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Proficient in both written and spoken English and Chinese, with knowledge of Putonghua preferred.
Familiarity with basic office software, including MS Office.
Candidates may be invited to participate in a trade or written test.
