FINANCE MANAGER - European-owned forwarder & logistics (Kwai Fong/5 days)

Role Mission

• You will play a pivotal role in safeguarding financial control, improving reporting quality, and supporting sound business decision-making across Hong Kong and China operations. 

• Reporting to the Chief Financial Officer, this position is responsible for strengthening finance processes, ensuring accurate consolidation and reporting, and partnering with the business to support continued regional growth.

Role Summary

• You will lead daily accounting operations for Hong Kong and China branches while working closely with a team of accounting professionals in the Hong Kong office. 

• The role combines hands-on financial management with regional oversight, including consolidated reporting, cash flow monitoring, audit support, and review of accounting work prepared by China offices. 

Job Description

• Oversee daily accounting operations for Hong Kong and China branches to ensure the accuracy and completeness of accounting records.

• Review accounting work prepared by China offices.

• Prepare consolidated financial statements, forecasts, budgets, and management reports.

• Monitor cash flow and support financial planning and analysis.

• Enhance accounting, operating, and reporting procedures to align with business needs.

• Support year-end audit and taxation matters.

• Work closely with the Chief Financial Officer and other internal stakeholders.

• Lead and support a team of 4-5 accounting staff in the Hong Kong office.

• Occasional travel to China is required.

Ideal Candidate

• Degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related discipline.

• Advantage if possess HKICPA or ACCA qualification.

• Minimum 8 years of accounting and finance experience.

• Good knowledge or experience in PRC accounting is required.

• Strong knowledge of accounting principles, compliance, and procedures.

• Advantage if possess experience in freight forwarding, shipping, or logistics.

• Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.

• Proficient in English, Chinese, and Mandarin.

• Strong leadership, analytical, and problem-solving skills.

• Able to work independently, manage priorities, and deliver under pressure.
