Site Engineer / Senior Site Engineer – MVAC / HVAC

Responsibilities

• Manage day-to-day MVAC / HVAC site works, including installation, replacement, A&A works, testing and commissioning, defect rectification and handover.

• Coordinate with clients, consultants, property management teams, main contractors, subcontractors and suppliers.

• Monitor project progress, manpower, material delivery, subcontractor performance and site work sequence.

• Ensure site works are carried out safely, efficiently and in accordance with approved drawings, specifications and method statements.

• Control project costs, review subcontractor quotations, monitor variations and support procurement decisions.

• Attend site meetings, client meetings and project coordination meetings.

• Participate in tender preparation, site survey, cost estimation and subcontractor / supplier selection.

• Identify site constraints, technical issues, cost risks and programme risks, and propose practical solutions.

• Maintain proper project records, progress reports, site inspection records and handover documents.
  
  

Requirements

• Higher Diploma or Degree in Building Services Engineering, Mechanical Engineering or related discipline.

• Minimum 10 years’ relevant experience in MVAC / HVAC project works.

• Solid experience in site management, subcontractor coordination, client liaison, cost control and project delivery.

• Must possess Safety Supervisor Certificate or equivalent recognised safety supervisory training.

• Familiar with MVAC / HVAC systems including AHU, PAU, FCU, chilled water pipework, ductwork, pumps, valves, controls, insulation and T&C.

• Good understanding of site safety, risk assessment, method statement and permit-to-work arrangement.

• Experience in A&A works, replacement works, existing building projects or property management clients is preferred.

• Good communication, coordination and problem-solving skills.

• Proactive, responsible, hands-on and able to work independently.

• Good command of Chinese and English.

• Candidate with stronger project management experience may be considered as Assistant Project Manager.
