Senior Tendering Engineer – HVAC / MVAC A&A Works

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare HVAC / MVAC project proposals, technical scope of work and budget estimates.

• Develop schedule of rates for A&A, replacement, modification and improvement works.

• Review client requirements, drawings, site photos and inspection findings.

• Source and evaluate subcontractor and supplier quotations.

• Negotiate competitive costs with subcontractors and suppliers.

• Identify scope gaps, technical risks, site constraints and commercial assumptions.

• Support tender preparation, client clarification and pre-contract documentation.

• Maintain subcontractor / supplier database and cost reference records.

• Coordinate with internal project, service and minor works teams to ensure proposal feasibility.
  
  

Requirements

• Diploma or Degree in Building Services Engineering, Mechanical Engineering or related discipline.

• Minimum 8 years’ relevant experience in HVAC / MVAC contracting, A&A works, fitting-out, maintenance improvement or existing building projects.

• Strong ability in proposal preparation, cost estimation and schedule of rate development.

• Familiar with Hong Kong property management clients and existing building work constraints.

• Good subcontractor and supplier network in the MVAC / building services market.

• Able to read drawings, specifications and tender documents.

• Strong commercial sense, negotiation ability and attention to scope details.

• Good written English and Chinese.

• Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook.
  
  

Preferred

• Experience in serving property management companies, commercial buildings, shopping malls, office towers or residential estates.

• Experience in preparing tender-support documents for clients at early project planning stage.

• Ability to propose practical, cost-effective and competitive engineering solutions.
