We are now looking for a suitable person to fill the following position in the School of Arts and Social Sciences:
Part-time Lecturer [PG] (2026 Autumn Term) (A&SS) (Ref: 26001ME)
Major Duties and Responsibilities
The appointee will be responsible mainly for the course planning, development and delivery of the postgraduate programmes. Major duties include conducting lectures and tutorials, writing lecture notes, designing and marking of assignments/examination scripts and performing other related teaching and administrative duties. Requirements for the relevant course(s) are specified as follows:

Master of Arts in Applied Cultural Studies
- ACST 8007AEF Special Topics in Gaming and Care Culture (English)
A recognized Master’s degree / higher degree in Cultural Studies, Media Studies, Game Studies, Sociology, or a related discipline, with relevant experience teaching courses in cultural or media studies. Preference will be given to PhD holders with relevant teaching experience at the tertiary level.
Master of Arts in Applied English Linguistics

Candidates should possess a higher degree in Applied Linguistics or a related discipline; and relevant postgraduate teaching and/ research experience would be an advantage.
Duration of Appointment
The appointees will be required to work on weekday evenings or Saturday/Sunday on campus for the period from September 2026 to January 2027 for a maximum of 16.5 hours per week.
Terms and Conditions for Appointment
Successful candidate will be appointed on a temporary part-time contract. Benefits will be provided in accordance with the statutory provisions.
