We are now looking for a suitable person to fill the following position in the School of Arts and Social Sciences:
Applications are invited for the Course Developer post for the foundational undergraduate course POLS 2001AED Introduction to Political Science.
Major Duties and Responsibilities
The appointee will be responsible mainly for the following:
Developing a study guide incorporating global and local cases and scenarios to support students in their engagement with the selected textbook for the undergraduate course Introduction to Political Science (POLS 2001AED);
Developing self-tests and activities to consolidate students’ learning and application of theoretical concepts;
Preparing assessments and examinations to evaluate students’ progress and performance; and
Performing any other duties as assigned.
Candidates
Candidates are expected to possess the following:
A higher degree in political science;
Good knowledge of current issues in the global political economy;
Good knowledge of the local context;
Strong English writing proficiency;
Strong organisational and communication skills; and
Teaching experience in Hong Kong's tertiary education institutions.
Terms and Conditions for Appointment
Successful candidates will be appointed on a freelance basis.
