Be the main financial contact for ship clients
Help clients understand ship running costs and budgets
Provide accurate and timely financial reports
Protect company interests in revenue and credit risk

Role summary

Client-facing accountant for ship clients
Manage ship running costs, budgets, and funding payments
Main contact between ship clients and internal teams
Prepare and review financial reports with clear explanations
Handle month-end closing and balance sheet work
Work in Accounting team of 10 members
Improve work processes and efficiency

Job description

Be the main contact for ship clients on all accounting matters
Handle monthly financial reports, budget talks, funding requests, and cost analysis
Tell clients early if costs go over budget
Explain cost reports clearly to clients
Help clients plan budgets and forecast costs
Prepare financial reports for ship owners
Check costs against budgets and tell teams if costs may go over
Close month-end accounts on time and accurately
Check and fix balance sheet items quickly
Support audits and provide required documents
Lead, train, and support the accounting team members
Give financial advice to technical and operations teams
Keep budgets updated in the ERP system
Find ways to improve work processes

Ideal candidates

Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field
5 years accounting experience; of which 1+ years in ship accounting
Know accounting principles well
Good with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
Good English and Mandarin (written and spoken)
Good at leading and training team members
Detail-oriented and can work under pressure
