ROLE SUMMARY

  • You will be a key technical partner for our Design, Development and Sourcing teams, turning creative ideas into well‑engineered products for the Asian market. 
  • You will lead fit sessions, adjust patterns, construction and workmanship, and work with vendors to deliver consistent, high‑quality garments that reflect our outdoor and sports DNA while meeting Asia fit standards. 
  • You will shape the look, feel and performance of our collections from first proto to bulk production, closely collaborating with creative, technical and sourcing teams. 
  • This position reports to the Quality & Fitting Manager APAC.
ROLE MISSION
  • Create sample tech packs based on Asia body standards that turn design vision into clear technical specifications.
  • Lead and organise live model fit sessions to secure the right silhouette, comfort and style attitude.
  • Evaluate fit, construction and workmanship for fit approval across proto, SMS, counter and size set stages.
  • Partner with vendors to reach the required fitting, construction and workmanship in line with brand standards.
  • Carry out proactive risk assessment at development stage to support smooth and on‑time industrialisation.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Create sample tech packs that follow the design intent, work closely with Design and Development to review sketches, build and refine measurement charts and POMs in PLM, raise sample requests from proto to size set, and manage ASIA FIT as the adaptation of European fit styles.
  • Manage fitting sessions on live models and dummies by reviewing garments with designers, developers and market teams, preparing the full sample line‑up and supporting decisions that balance aesthetics, function and comfort.
  • Evaluate fit, construction and workmanship for proto, SMS, counter and size set samples, give vendors clear and solution‑oriented fitting comments, align with Design and Development on all updates, implement pattern corrections as needed, align construction with development, and ensure all market and design changes are correctly updated in PLM for bulk production.
  • Work closely with vendors to achieve the required fitting and workmanship, explain modifications in a clear and constructive way, answer technical questions, review and approve graded nest patterns once fit and style are confirmed, and request CAP where needed to continuously improve quality.
  • Perform risk assessment during development by identifying possible production challenges and suggesting smart simplifications, report key quality and production risks to management, solve most fitting, construction and workmanship issues before PPS, and cooperate with the QC team to close any remaining issues at PPS stage.
IDEAL CANDIDATES
  • At least 5 years of experience as a fitting or garment technician in a buying or sourcing office, ideally with international brands.
  • Certificate, diploma or degree in Fashion & Clothing, Clothing Studies or a related discipline, with a strong passion for product and fit.
  • Solid experience with ASIA FIT standards, specification creation and PLM workflows.
  • Background in outdoor, sports and casualwear brands, with good understanding of performance, functionality and style.
  • Strong technical knowledge in fitting and workmanship for outdoor jackets and bottoms; experience with mid‑layers and accessories is a plus.
  • Good command of English and Mandarin, with confident communication toward internal teams and vendors.
  • Proficient in Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, Illustrator, PLM and preferably Lectra Modaris.
  • Position based in our Hong Kong regional office, at the heart of our Asian sourcing activities.
  • Willing to travel occasionally to factories abroad to follow up on fit and quality on site.
