Role Mission

• This role will lead and coordinate OEM and ODM product development projects from specification development through to pilot run and high-volume production introduction.
• Reporting to the Product Development Director, this role is responsible for ensuring smooth project execution, effective cross-functional collaboration, timely issue resolution, and strong customer communication.
• The position is part of a four-member team and requires a strong sense of ownership, structure, and teamwork.

Role Summary

• This role oversees multiple product development programmes and serves as a key interface between internal engineering teams, external customers, and other functional departments.
• You will be responsible for project planning, progress tracking, risk management, meeting coordination, documentation control, and timely escalation of issues where required.
• This is a hands-on role for someone who is well-organized, analytical, and confident in managing complex technical projects in a fast-paced environment.

Job Description

• Manage OEM and ODM projects by coordinating internal and external parties from product development through pilot-run production.
• Coordinate with project teams and cross-functional teams to manage product design projects from specification development through to high-volume manufacturing introduction.
• Ensure all project activities meet compliance standards and development schedules, while identifying and resolving issues using proven project management methodologies.
• Develop, manage, and maintain project plans using Microsoft Project and other relevant project management tools.
• Plan and facilitate project review meetings to ensure timely completion of each development stage in accordance with applicable development procedures.
• Act as the interface between the company and customers when required to achieve project timelines and maintain high customer satisfaction.
• Manage and report progress to both internal and external customers.
• Provide timely progress updates and escalation reports to the executive management team as required.
• Plan project end evaluations with team members to review project performance, lessons learned, and opportunities for improvement.
• Circulate task information and action items to ensure alignment across the team.
• Maintain accurate project history records so that all team members and management can monitor project progress.
• Prepare and maintain minutes for project review meetings and post them on the internal SharePoint platform for internal communication.
• Coordinate project tasks with other ongoing projects and flag potential resource conflicts to the Engineering Director.
• Identify risks and obstacles, and formulate action plans to address them proactively.
• Contribute to continuous process improvement activities.

Ideal Candidate

• Engineering degree or equivalent combination of education and relevant experience.
• PMP certification is an advantage.
• At least 7 years of experience in a product development environment.
• Proven ability to manage internal and external customer communications and expectations.
• Strong computer literacy, including Microsoft Project and Microsoft Office.
• A strong team player who is trusted by project leaders and team members.
• Strong understanding of customer expectations and project delivery requirements.
• Able to multitask and work well under pressure.
• Able to work independently while also contributing positively as a team player.
• Well-organized, analytical, and strong in problem-solving.
• Strong communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
• Fluent in spoken and written English and Chinese, including Putonghua.
