MERCHANDISING MANAGER - Garment Trims, Accessories & Packaging | Kwai Fong

Role Mission

• This is a key leadership role responsible for managing customer and supplier coordination across product development, order processing, costing, production follow-up, and shipment arrangement. 
• You will also lead and support a small merchandising team in the China office, ensuring smooth execution and service excellence.

Role Summary

• This role will oversee day-to-day communication with overseas clients and suppliers, drive product development and order execution, and ensure every order is completed accurately, efficiently, and on time. 
• This role is well suited to a hands-on leader who thrives in a fast-paced international trading environment and can balance client servicing, supplier management, and team leadership effectively.

Job Responsibilities

• Manage daily communication with suppliers and clients on product development, order follow-up, and delivery matters.
• Oversee sample development, quotation preparation, order confirmation, and production tracking.
• Monitor production progress and ensure quality, lead time, and shipment schedules are achieved.
• Work closely with clients on product requirements, specifications, approvals, and order status updates.
• Liaise with internal teams to ensure smooth execution from development to delivery.
• Resolve operational issues and support problem-solving with suppliers and customers.
• Prepare accurate merchandising documents, reports, and records in a timely manner.
• Maintain strong relationships with customers and suppliers.
• Lead, coach, and support a merchandising team of 2–3 members in the China office.

Ideal Candidate

• Diploma or above is preferable 
• At least 5 years of merchandising experience in garment trims, accessories, packaging, or related products.
• Experienced in garment trims and accessories, including zippers, elastics, tapes, webbings, drawcords, buttons, and decorative trims is highly prefer.
• Solid experience in both supplier-side and client-side coordination.
• Strong knowledge of product development, costing, sampling, and order management.
• Good command of English and Chinese, including Mandarin.
• Proficient in MS Office applications, especially Excel.
• Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
