WATCH ENGINEER (watch component focus) - European watch manufacturer (Lai Chi Kok/5 days work)

Role Mission

• You will play a key role in the development, optimization, and technical support of watch components, ensuring product quality, manufacturability, and engineering precision throughout the product development cycle.

• The role involves close collaboration with suppliers, factory teams, and cross-functional stakeholders to support product innovation, technical improvement, and production feasibility.

Job Description

• Design, develop, and optimize watch components, including cases, dials, crowns, hands, straps, movements, and packaging.
• Apply engineering principles to enhance product performance, durability, precision, and manufacturability.
• Use CAD and related software tools such as AutoCAD, SolidWorks, and PDF for technical drawings and documentation.
• Work closely with suppliers and engineering teams to ensure technical feasibility, quality standards, and timely execution.
• Prepare technical documentation, project reports, specifications, and development records.
• Support product development, engineering improvement, and innovation projects across functions.
• Visit the Shenzhen factory once a week; same-day return to Hong Kong is available.

Ideal Candidate

• 3+ years of engineering experience in the watch, jewelry, precision components, or related manufacturing industry.
• Strong knowledge of watch component structures, materials, and production processes.
• Proficiency in CAD software such as AutoCAD and SolidWorks, with good computer skills in handling technical files and documents.
• Experience in quality assurance, testing methods, and compliance standards is preferred.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and troubleshooting skills.
• Good command of English and Chinese, including Mandarin and Cantonese, for communication with suppliers and internal teams.
