ROLE MISSION
  • To support the design and development of IoT hardware products from concept through production-ready deliverables, under the guidance of senior engineers. 
  • You will contribute to design validation, certification preparation, and production handoff, helping to ensure high-quality, compliant, and successful product launches for our international clients.

ROLE SUMMARY
  • This is an entry-to-mid-level hardware design role within a growing Hong Kong ODM company. 
  • You will work closely with senior engineers, international clients, and Asian manufacturing partners to develop connected electronic products. 
  • You will be involved in the full product journey—from schematic design and PCB layout to design validation, certification support, and production handoff. Ideal for engineers who are eager to learn and grow through exposure to the complete process from concept to production.

JOB DESCRIPTION
  • Report to and support the Project Manager and Senior Engineer in day-to-day project and technical activities.
  • Support IoT hardware and firmware design and development from concept through production-ready deliverables.
  • Assist in validation activities from engineering prototypes through to production.
  • Support certification preparation (FCC, CE, RCM) and pre-compliance testing.
  • Collaborate with clients and internal teams to capture requirements and convert them into product specifications.
  • Use in-house spectrum analyser and test equipment for design validation and debugging.
  • Support production tooling handoff with Asian CM (Contract Manufacturer) partners.
  • Maintain design and validation documentation: schematics, BOMs, test reports.
  • Participate in analog and digital circuit design and PCB layout activities under supervision.
  • Contribute to embedded firmware development and testing (C/C++, RTOS, embedded Linux).
  • Coordinate with industrial design teams for product integration.
  • Ensure design compliance with international certification standards.

IDEAL CANDIDATE
  • Tertiary education in Electronic/Electrical Engineering (fresh graduates welcome).
  • 1–3 years of hardware/electronics design experience (or relevant internship/project experience).
  • Basic to intermediate analog and digital circuit design knowledge.
  • Basic PCB layout skills; willingness to develop further.
  • Familiarity with Altium Designer or similar PCB design tools.
  • Clear understanding of requirements, specifications, and basic validation processes.
  • Some exposure to embedded firmware (C/C++, RTOS, or embedded Linux) is an advantage.
  • Interest in or basic familiarity with FCC, CE, or RCM certification processes is a plus.
  • Good English communication skills (for internal and client-facing communication).
  • Willingness to collaborate with Chinese/SE Asian CM (contract manufacturer) partners.
