Chief Information Expert (or equivalent)

As part of this strategic shift, the Group is committed to integrating e-commerce into our core business model — reducing reliance on the traditional offline sales force and driving operational efficiency across our material sales channels.

We are now looking to strengthen the Group’s information technology (IT) capability by establishing a Chief Information Expert or equivalent position.  

What you will do:

1. Platform & Enterprise Architecture: Own the overarching IT vision and technical architecture for our global B2B commerce initiatives, bridging modern digital customer experiences with robust, secure enterprise back-end systems—with the objective of shifting transaction volume away from the offline sales force onto the digital channel.

2. IT Governance & Compliance: Establish enterprise-grade SDLC standards, Agile workflows, and robust cybersecurity protocols to guide global technology teams and ensure secure, high-quality, and compliant digital delivery.

3. Enterprise Systems Integration: Define the API and data strategy to seamlessly integrate our digital sales channels with legacy ERPs, manufacturing databases, and global supply chain systems.

4. Digital Transformation & Value Alignment: Drive the technology roadmap and IT capital allocation with an entrepreneurial mindset, directly linking technology investments to market expansion, operational efficiency, and measurable business growth.

5. Act as a key IT expert to help manage, evaluate, and enhance the IT function of various business lines and factories in Hong Kong and in Chinese Mainland.

6. Collaborate closely with the Group’s IT department in Shenzhen as well as other IT staffs located in other geographies.

7. Regular on-site work and business travel are expected, especially to Chinese Mainland.

Technical Skills:

1. AI Strategy & Workflow Automation: Directing the integration of Generative AI and LLMs into daily engineering and business workflows to maximize operational efficiency.

2. AI Engineering & Application Delivery: Leading the design and production deployment of AI-powered features, agentic workflows, and automated system logic.

3. Full-Stack Platform Architecture: Directing high-performance front-end (React/Vue) and scalable back-end (Java/Node/Go) development for enterprise web applications.

4. E-Commerce Platform Expertise: Hands-on experience architecting and delivering B2B/B2B2C e-commerce platforms for industrial or material sales, including product catalog, dynamic pricing, order management, and payment gateway integration.

5. Enterprise Integrations: Managing complex third-party integrations, including AI APIs, global payment gateways, logistics engines, and core databases.

6. DevOps & Engineering Governance: Establishing standard collaborative workflows (Git Flow, CI/CD) and automated testing pipelines to accelerate product delivery.

7. System Security & Compliance: Ensuring robust web security postures, implementing secure authentication, data privacy, and proactive threat prevention.

What we’re looking for:

1. Academic Foundation: Holds a Bachelor’s degree or above in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related disciplines.

2. Leadership: A proven leader with at least 8 years of technology implementation and management experience, possessing the gravitas and capability to inspire, scale, and lead high-performing technical teams.

3. Global Vision & Background (Preferred): An energetic executive with overseas education and/or international work experience who thrives in a diverse business environment.

4. AI & Digital Transformation Pioneer: A forward-thinker with a strong track record of driving large-scale digital transformation and a deep, practical understanding of AI and Machine Learning technologies.

5. The High-Pressure Navigator: An exceptional problem solver who maintains clarity and drives results in fast-paced, highly dynamic, and high-pressure environments, who can work not only as a team leader, but also as an individual contributor.

6. Mandatory E-commerce Experience: Must have hands-on, proven experience leading the setup and launch f an e-commerce platform (B2B or B2B2C)

7. Multilingual Communicator: Fluent in both written and spoken English and Mandarin to seamlessly bridge the gap between global strategy and regional execution; proficiency in Cantonese is highly preferred.
