The College comprises 257 students from about 90+ countries, the vast majority on scholarships. The College is residential. The major educational focus of the College is holistic and experiential education based on the IB Diploma with an extensive afternoon/evening/weekend activities & service programmes.
Li Po Chun United World College of Hong Kong (LPCUWC) is seeking a full-time, Non-Residential Universities Guidance Counselor to join our team for 10 August 2026.
LPCUWC is an international boarding school home to students from over 90 nationalities, the vast majority of whom are on scholarships. This role focuses on helping our diverse student body find their global "best fit" university pathways. Administrative support is provided.
Key Responsibilities:
Advising: Guide students on worldwide university systems (USA, UK, Hong Kong, Canada, Australia, Europe).
Financial Aid: Support high-need students with scholarship search and financial aid applications (CSS Profile/FAFSA).
Credentials: Draft highly personalized counselor recommendations and prepare school profiles.
Workshops & Events: Run student workshops (essays, interviews, lists) and host visiting university admissions representatives.
Qualifications & Competencies
Education & Experience: University graduate with a minimum of 3 years of professional experience, ideally with cross-cultural experience in the past. We welcome candidates from diverse backgrounds.
Expertise: Comprehensive knowledge of global university admissions requirements, financial aid systems, and application platforms.
Skills: Strong written and public presentation skills, and database literacy.
