Responsibilities
- Support the deployment, administration and operation of the University's current and future server virtualisation platform, Hyper Converged Infrastructure (HCI), Storage Area Network (SAN), backup system, Windows and Linux servers.
- Design, implement, and maintain cloud and server virtualisation infrastructures, including but not limited to, VMWare, Hyper-V, Sangfor HCI, Directory Services, AWS and Microsoft Cloud Infrastructure.
- Deploy and manage the container environment, including Docker Engine, Kubernetes, GitLab, and similar platforms.
- Provide in-depth technical support and operation of security, Cloud, M365, Active Directory and Container platforms.
- Develop, operate and administer the campus-wide IoT infrastructure.
- Prepare detailed configurations, documentation and operation guide, and liaise with vendors to set up the Cloud, server virtualisation and container infrastructure.
- May be required to work in shifts and irregular hours.
- Perform any other duties as assigned by supervisor(s).
Requirements
- A Bachelor's Degree or above in Computer Science, Information Technology, Information Engineering or related disciplines.
- At least 5 years of working experience in IT, with at least 3 years of technical expertise and solid skillsets in Cloud, Server Virtualisation, and Container Infrastructure.
- Experience in managing the Active Directory, remote access, a multi-cloud environment, and SSO/MFA.
- Proficiency in Microsoft technologies, including on-premises systems, M365, Azure, and related cloud services, and integrating AI solutions to enhance security and cloud operations.
- Proven experience in container technologies (Docker, Kubernetes) and CI/CD pipeline deployment.
- A good knowledge and experience in server virtualisation and HCI products, including VMWare, Sangfor HCI solution, Azure Local and KVM, etc.
- A strong knowledge in IoT protocol, hardware and software, including LoRaWan, Zigbee, MQTT and ChirpStack, etc will be advantageous.
- Strong organisational, analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Proficient in written and verbal English.
- Good customer service skills and a positive working attitude.
Candidates with less/more experience will also be considered for appointment at the relevant rank.
Salary and Fringe Benefits
The rank and commencing salary will be commensurate with qualifications and experience. Fringe benefits, where applicable, include annual leave, medical and dental benefits, mandatory provident fund and gratuity.
