Responsibilities
- Plan and implement professional development workshops and curriculum to develop Lingnan academic staff as leaders in the provision of innovative pedagogy via a comprehensive professional development framework and implementation strategy
- Support the initiatives of academic units to develop or revise courses/programmes as related to the delivery of an engaging, personalised, and digitally enriched Outcome-based Education (OBE) curriculum
- Contribute to the communities of best practice and working groups and provide relevant pedagogical input to this work
- Develop, implement, and evaluate various self-paced learning and workshops related to enriching the learning skills and competencies of students
- Support the Learning Enhancement and Learning Design strategic priorities and perform the assigned tasks of the Teaching Development and Language Enhancement Grant (TDLEG) and other UGC-funded Grants
- Perform any other duties as assigned by supervisor(s)
Requirements
- A Bachelor’s Degree with normally 7 years’ relevant work experience
- Strong organisational, team, and communication skills, with excellent writing skills in English
- Experience in managing and contributing to teaching and learning initiatives
- Relevant experience in facilitating professional development for academic staff across a range of learning and teaching areas, such as 21st Century Approaches to Learning and Teaching, Curriculum, Assessment, and OBE, with a thorough understanding of practice and theory of OBE and Qualification Framework of Hong Kong Special Administrative Region of the People’s Republic of China
- Relevant experience in supporting teaching and learning institutional change/pedagogical support for academic staff in innovative pedagogies across the use of technology, online portfolios, curriculum, assessment, and OBE of higher education
- Excellent presentation skills, with teaching experience as an advantage
- Extensive understanding of current trends in technology-enhanced learning
Candidates with less/more experience will also be considered for appointment at a relevant rank.
Salary and Fringe Benefits
The rank and commencing salary will be commensurate with qualifications and experience. Fringe benefits, where applicable, include annual leave, medical and dental benefits, mandatory provident fund, and gratuity.
