Senior Contracts Manager (Beijing) (Ref: 260000ZA)

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage a team to deliver procurement, tendering, contract administration and commercial management services in accordance with corporate policies and procedures

• Oversee the tendering process, evaluate commercial and contractual submissions, and make recommendations for contract awards

• Administer major contracts and consultancies, including claims management, contract interpretation, cost control and extension of time assessments

• Review and verify interim payments, variations, claims and final accounts to ensure timely and accurate contract administration

• Liaise with internal stakeholders, consultants and contractors to resolve contractual, commercial and risk management issues

• Monitor project costs, contractual performance and claims, providing professional advice and recommendations to support project delivery objectives
  
  
  
   

Requirements

• Degree in Engineering / Quantity Surveying or a related discipline

• A minimum of 12 years’ relevant experience in contract administration for railway or large-scale infrastructure projects, of which 4 years should be at managerial level

• Possession of Corporate Membership of a recognised professional institution

• Proven experience in contract management, claims assessment and dispute resolution 

• Strong leadership and analytical with the ability to collaborate effectively with diverse stakeholders

• Excellent written and spoken English and Chinese (including Putonghua)
   

Remarks

• Appointment will be made on two-year renewable terms 

• Required to be stationed in Beijing, China
