Founded in 1878, Po Leung Kuk, as one of the largest charity organisations in Hong Kong, has been serving Hong Kong for 148 years with its objective of “Protecting the Young and the Innocent”(保赤安良). Currently, the Kuk has 325 units strategically located in Hong Kong and provides services in education, social welfare, youth, recreation, culture and integrated health care. We have about 45,000 students in our schools and attend to more than 3,000,000 visits for services annually in the past 3 years. Responsibilities:
- Assist in the implementation of fundraising programmes/events and network building initiatives
- Manage fundraising events from planning through execution to post‑event follow up, including campaign launches, drafting of appeals, speeches, press releases, social media content/posts, features and correspondences
- Produce high quality promotional and publicity materials, both print and digital, from content development to production
- Input donor database information.
- Liaise with internal and external stakeholders, donors and corporations to explore sponsorship opportunities.
- Prepare fundraising proposals and communication materials
- Maintain and monitor various donation channels regularly
- Support the maintenance of fundraising records and filing systems
- Handle ad-hoc tasks as assigned by the supervisor
Requirements:
- A recognized degree in Marketing / Communications or related disciplines
- Minimum 3 years’ relevant experience, preferably in the fields of fundraising, marketing communications, or event management
- Mature, meticulous and also an efficient and motivated self-starter
- Good command of speaking, listening and writing in English, Cantonese and Putonghua
- Proficient in Chinese word processing and typing, in addition to English
- Good multi-tasking skills to meet deadlines
- Need to work in the evening on weekdays and weekends occasionally
- Proficient in Chinese word processing, MS Word, Excel and Powerpoint
