• Our products are sold through major retailers, department stores, online platforms and other distribution channels in the United States and international markets. The company develops and manages travel products for different customer segments, with a strong focus on product quality, practical design, competitive pricing and timely delivery.

• The Hong Kong office serves as an important regional centre for sourcing, product development, production follow-up and supplier coordination. The team works closely with colleagues in the United States, factories, vendors and business partners across Asia.

• Our product range includes luggage, travel bags, backpacks, duffle bags, business bags, wallets, travel accessories and related products.

• We work with suppliers and factories in Asia to develop travel and luggage products that meet brand standards, customer expectations, target costs and delivery schedules.

ROLE MISSION 

• You will turn product concepts and design ideas into practical, attractive and commercially viable travel and luggage products.

• The role will coordinate product development from initial concept through to final approval, ensuring that products meet the required design, functionality, quality, cost and delivery standards.

ROLE SUMMARY

• You will work closely with the U.S. headquarters, design team, factories and suppliers to develop new products and improve existing products.

• The role will involve reviewing product specifications, sourcing materials and components, coordinating samples, managing revisions, checking product functionality and following up with factories throughout the development process.

JOB DESCRIPTION

• Manage the product development process from initial concept and design brief to final product approval.

• Work closely with the U.S. headquarters, design team and internal stakeholders to understand product requirements.

• Review sketches, product specifications, measurements, materials, hardware and construction details.

• Develop luggage, travel bags, backpacks, duffle bags, business bags, wallets, travel accessories and related products.

• Source suitable fabrics, materials, linings, trims, hardware, components, factories and suppliers.

• Research new materials, components, construction methods and product features.

• Coordinate the development of prototypes, first samples, revised samples and pre-production samples.

• Follow up with factories and suppliers to ensure that samples meet design, functional and technical requirements.

• Review samples carefully and provide clear comments on design, fitting, construction, workmanship and functionality.

• Work with factories to resolve product development, construction and quality issues.

• Review product costing and work with factories to meet target costs.

• Support price negotiation with suppliers and factories when required.

• Follow up on material approvals, testing, quality requirements and production readiness.

• Monitor development schedules and ensure that key milestones are completed on time.

• Work closely with quality assurance and technical teams to resolve product issues.

• Ensure that products meet the required quality, safety, testing and compliance standards.

• Communicate product updates, development progress and issues to the U.S. headquarters.

• Support product improvements and other product development activities as required.

IDEAL CANDIDATE

• Minimum 5 years of relevant experience in product development.

• Strong experience in developing travel goods, luggage, bags or related products from concept to production.

• Experience working with a U.S. or international brand, buying office, sourcing office or trading company is an advantage.

• Good understanding of product functionality, durability, usability and testing requirements.

• Experience in sourcing factories, suppliers, materials, hardware and other product components.

• Good understanding of product costing and target pricing.

• Strong experience in sample development, product specifications and factory follow-up.

• Able to review samples carefully and provide clear and practical comments.

• Able to manage multiple projects and deadlines independently.

• Able to work effectively with U.S. colleagues, designers, factories and suppliers in Asia.

• Good command of spoken and written English.

• Mandarin is an advantage.

• Proficient in Microsoft Excel and other standard office applications.
