Project Director (Civil Engineering - Water Treatment)

The Job

• Client: A large Engineering Group

• Position: Project Director

• Responsibilities: The position will be the project lead for a major infrastructure project involving water treatment works and associated civil engineering packages. Acting as the key interface between the Client, and other contractors on civil-related matters, ensuring smooth coordination, technical problem-solving, and successful delivery of the civil scope of works.

  • Represent the company in technical meetings, coordination meetings, and progress meetings with the Client, consultants, and other contractors on civil matters.

  • Provide technical leadership and guidance on civil engineering issues, including design coordination, construction methodology.

  • Review and comment on civil-related drawings, method statements, risk assessments, and technical submissions.

  • Identify potential civil engineering risks and interface issues early, and develop practical solutions in collaboration with stakeholders.

  • Coordinate with other contractors to resolve technical and programme-related conflicts on civil works.

  • Ensure compliance with contract requirements and provide commercial support.

• $100K-150K+ (Negotiable). 5-day. Bonus. Medical

Requirements

• Degree in Civil Engineering or related discipline

• Professional qualification; MHKIE, CEng, MICE or equivalent

• Minimum 15–20 years of relevant experience in civil engineering projects gained with contractors

• Proven track record in large-scale infrastructure projects (preferably waterworks, water / sewage treatment plants, or similar civil packages)

• Ability to work effectively in a multi-disciplinary environment and bridge the gap between civil and E&M disciplines.

• Excellent communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills.

• Fluent in English and Cantonese (written and spoken).
