The group specializes in freight forwarding and logistics services, including air freight, sea freight (FCL/LCL), cross‑border trucking, warehousing, distribution and customs clearance. It serves clients in manufacturing, trading, retail and e‑commerce across Asia.
The group operates eight offices across major Chinese cities (including Shenzhen and Guangzhou) and regional offices in Vietnam and 2–3 other Southeast Asian countries.
The Hong Kong headquarters oversees group strategy, finance, IT and key commercial functions. The finance team supports group reporting, internal controls and compliance across all entities, working closely with regional operations to drive growth and efficiency.
ROLE MISSION
To oversee the group’s accounting operations, ensure accurate and timely financial reporting across all entities, and lead the Hong Kong accounting team in supporting the Financial Controller and senior management.
This is a group‑level accounting role covering Hong Kong, PRC and Southeast Asian offices.
ROLE SUMMARY
This is a group‑level accounting position responsible for the full spectrum of group accounting across Hong Kong, Mainland China and Southeast Asian offices.
You will manage daily accounting operations for the Hong Kong office, lead a team of 6–7 accounting staff, and coordinate accounting and reporting across PRC and Southeast Asian entities.
Key duties include preparing monthly, quarterly and annual management accounts, supporting group consolidation, ensuring compliance with HKFRS and local tax/statutory requirements, driving process improvements, and collaborating with regional finance teams.
Occasional travel to Shenzhen, Guangzhou and Vietnam will be required.
JOB DESCRIPTION
Group‑level role responsible for overseeing accounting and financial reporting across the entire group, covering Hong Kong, PRC and Southeast Asian offices.
Manage day‑to‑day accounting operations for the Hong Kong office and assist in preparing consolidated group financial statements.
Oversee accounts payable, accounts receivable and general ledger across multiple regional entities and cross‑border logistics networks.
Prepare group financial statements, manage complex multi‑currency cash flows (including VND, RMB and other regional currencies), and coordinate regional audits.
Lead, supervise and develop the Hong Kong accounting team (6–7 staff), including task allocation, review of workpapers and performance coaching.
Work closely with the accountant handling PRC offices’ accounting to ensure accurate and timely reporting from Mainland entities.
Ensure compliance with HKFRS, Hong Kong tax and statutory requirements; coordinate external audit and support tax compliance.
Collaborate with regional finance teams in China and Southeast Asia (Vietnam and 2–3 other countries) to improve reporting quality and strengthen group‑wide controls and standardization.
Ensure all operations follow HKFRSs, PRC GAAP and local tax laws in Vietnam and other Southeast Asian countries, including handling Withholding Tax (WHT), Transfer Pricing and VAT/GST requirements.
Identify and implement process improvements in accounting workflows, systems and internal controls at group level.
Travel occasionally to Shenzhen, Guangzhou and Vietnam to support local teams and finance initiatives.
IDEAL CANDIDATE
Professional accounting qualification (ACCA, HKICPA or equivalent) is highly prefer.
5–7 years’ accounting experience, with solid exposure to group accounting, consolidation and multi‑entity environments
At least 1 years experience in forwarders, logistics or related transport industries.
Strong understanding of HK tax, PRC GAAP and international tax frameworks, specifically Withholding Tax (WHT), Transfer Pricing and VAT/GST rules in Vietnam and other Southeast Asian countries.
Hands‑on experience in group‑level accounting and reporting across Hong Kong, PRC and Southeast Asia, including preparation of consolidated financial statements and management packs for senior management.
Hands‑on experience in PRC accounting and Vietnam accounting is highly preferred, including local tax and statutory compliance.
Proven experience in leading and developing accounting teams and managing multiple priorities under tight deadlines.
Strong hands‑on experience in monthly close, consolidation, management reporting and audit support.
Advanced Excel proficiency and strong cross‑cultural communication skills to bridge local operations with overseas teams.
Proficient in English and Chinese (written and spoken); comfortable in a cross‑border, multi‑jurisdiction environment.
