We are looking for the following experienced professional who is capable of carrying out supervision and co-ordination work for the project of “Batch 1B, 1C Development of Hong Kong-Shenzhen Innovation and Technology Park”:

Resident Building Services Engineer (Ref. JD_23058RBSE)

The minimum qualifications required for the post of Resident Building Services Engineer shall be as follows:

Qualifications

• MHKIE / CEng with 5 years’ relevant post-qualification experience in Building Services Engineering or Mechanical Engineering;
  
  

• A Bachelor Degree in Building Services Engineering or Mechanical Engineering;
  
  

• Chartered Engineer of Engineering Council or equivalent;
  
  

• HVAC background

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Assist the Senior Resident Engineer / Assistant Senior Resident Engineer on site in all aspects of supervision of building services work on site within the contracts and the supervision of the site quality.
  
  

• Supervision of the Project including guidance of the Contractors on programming, quality control, and ensuring site safety.
  
  

• Liaise and co-ordinate with the Client, the Project Building Services Engineer and the Contractors on matters related to building services work details, materials and workmanship, statutory compliance and issues related to site progress.
  
  

• Monitor and report the performance of contractors and workmanship on building services aspect.
  
  

• Monitor the progress of works and attend regular site progress meetings, interface and technical coordination meetings.
  
  

• Report and resolve design or installation problems or site difficulties.
  
  

• Supervise and lead Building Services Inspection Team for the participation of T&C, mockup inspections, factory inspection, etc.
  
  

• Review the Contractors’ design, site planning, shop drawing, materials, samples, test results or method statement submissions and other relevant submissions for the project.
  
  

• Review of the record plans and reports submitted by the Contractors either for the statutory submission to the Government or the Consultants.
  
  

• Review answers and provide on-site prompt responses to technical queries from the Contractors and supply further information to the Contractors for construction.
  
  

• Provide site records / evidence to support the Client and the Project Building Services Engineer on assessment of contractors’ claim for extension of work, or works disruption on building service aspects.
  
  

• Assist in vetting of building services variation works.
  
  

• Monitor the progress of building services outstanding works and defects rectification works.
  
  

• Carry out any other duties as may be assigned from time to time by the Project Building Services Engineer / Client as appropriate for the proper completion of the Project.
  
  

• May requested to work in Late Night shift

Employment will be on a contract basis for a period of 24 months commencing immediately with possible extension subject to works condition. The remuneration package will be commensurate with the candidate’s qualification and experience.
