SENIOR COSTING ANALYST / COSTING MANAGER - MNC electronic manufacturing service (EMS) (Kwun Tong/5 days work)

ROLE MISSION

• To support the Group in controlling product and manufacturing costs by developing accurate costing models, analysing cost performance and providing clear insights to help management make better business decisions.

ROLE SUMMARY

• Reporting to the Operations Director, you will play an important role in developing and managing the Group’s product costing framework.

• You will work closely with Operations, Engineering and Procurement teams to analyse product costs, support quotations, review inventory performance and identify cost-saving opportunities.

• This is an excellent opportunity for a costing professional who wants to take ownership, work closely with senior management and make a real impact on business performance.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Develop and maintain product costing models for materials, labour and overheads.

• Compare standard costs with actual costs, explain differences and recommend improvement actions.

• Support RFQ and quotation processes by preparing cost estimates and cost comparisons.

• Review and maintain Bills of Materials (BOMs) and production routings in the ERP system.

• Work with Engineering and Production teams to assess the cost impact of design, process and productivity changes.

• Prepare inventory analysis, including stock ageing, excess and obsolete stock, and inventory turnover.

• Support stocktakes and cycle counts to ensure inventory records are accurate.

• Monitor material prices, labour rates and overhead trends, and highlight risks or opportunities.

• Work with Operations and Procurement to identify cost-reduction and efficiency projects.

• Analyse production efficiency, scrap rates and labour utilisation to support continuous improvement.

• Support annual budgets and cost forecasts.

• Prepare clear cost and KPI reports for senior management.

IDEAL CANDIDATE

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Manufacturing, Accounting, Finance, Economics or a related discipline.

• At least 3 years’ costing analysis experience, preferably in EMS, electronics or another manufacturing environment.

• Experience in product costing, RFQ costing, standard costing and variance analysis.

• Good knowledge of inventory management and inventory valuation.

• Experience using ERP systems, including BOM and routing management.

• Strong Excel skills and comfortable working with large data sets.

• Good analytical, communication and presentation skills.

• Able to work independently and partner with cross-functional teams.
