TECHNICAL SERVICE MANAGER / FIELD SERVICE MANAGER - power generator / power system / electrical engineering (Yuen Long)

Role Mission

• The main purpose of this role is to lead our maintenance and field service operations.

• You will report directly to the Business Owner and manage a service team of approximately 20 members. You will make sure that our rental generators are properly maintained and that customer service jobs are completed safely, quickly, and professionally.

Role Summary

• You will manage the maintenance and delivery of our rental generator sets. You will also coordinate all field service and repair work.

• You will plan maintenance schedules, assign work to service technicians, provide technical support, and follow up on service jobs. You will also manage service quality, spare parts, service vehicles, safety, and customer satisfaction.

• This role is suitable for an experienced service or technical manager who has good knowledge of diesel generators, electrical systems, and mechanical equipment. You should be a good team leader, a practical problem-solver, and an organized person who can manage different tasks at the same time.

Job Description

• Manage the maintenance and delivery of rental generator sets.

• Make sure all generator sets are in good and safe working condition.

• Prepare maintenance schedules for regular and urgent repair work.

• Manage and coordinate field service and maintenance jobs.

• Make sure technical problems are solved on time.

• Lead and supervise a service team of approximately 20 members.

• Assign duties to service technicians and monitor their work.

• Provide technical advice, training, and coaching to the service team.

• Check the quality of all maintenance and repair work.

• Manage the maintenance of service vehicles.

• Make sure service vehicles are safe, roadworthy, and properly equipped.

• Manage spare parts for generator sets and service vehicles.

• Maintain good customer service through fast, professional, and reliable support.

• Make sure the team follows all safety rules and company policies.

• Prepare regular reports on maintenance work, equipment performance, and team productivity.

• Report service performance and important operational issues directly to the Business Owner.

Ideal Candidates

• Higher Diploma or Degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related subject.

• 5–8 years of experience in service management or technical management.

• Experience in the generator, heavy equipment, power systems, or related industries is preferred.

• Experience managing maintenance work and field service teams.

• Good technical knowledge of diesel generator sets, electrical systems, and mechanical components.

• Good leadership, communication, and people-management skills.

• Good command of English and Cantonese.

• A valid Hong Kong driving licence is preferred.

• A valid REW Grade A0 licence is preferred.

• Strong commitment to safety, quality, reliable equipment, and customer satisfaction.
