Department of Design and Architecture

Major duties:

The appointee shall engage in teaching and related learning activities, developing programme curriculum, teaching & learning, and assessment materials.  He/she shall also support students in their learning, participate in academic and scholarly activities, and undertake academic and administrative support services for the Bachelor of Science (Honours) in Surveying programme and the newly developed Professional Diploma in Small Unmanned Aircraft Application in Surveying programme.

Requirements:

The successful candidate should have a recognised Master’s degree in Surveying or a related field with good professional standing.  He/she should have at least 4 years of teaching experience at tertiary level and/or industry experience in relevant fields. Desirable specialisms include, but are not limited to the following:

  • Advanced Contract Administration
  • Development Control & Town Planning
  • Small Unmanned Aircraft Applications in Surveying, i.e., Building Surveying, General Practice Surveying, Land Surveying, Planning & Development, Property & Facility Management and Quantity Surveying.

The candidate should possess good interpersonal and communication skills, and high proficiency in English and preferably in Chinese, including Putonghua. All classes are conducted in English.

Notes:

(1) The appointee may be required to perform duties at different locations and work irregular hours, including weekends, as necessary.
(2) The remuneration package will be competitive and commensurate with the appointee’s qualifications and experience.
(3) The appointee will work at the Chai Wan Campus.
