We are now looking for a suitable person to fill the following position in the School of Education and Languages:
Temporary/Part-time Research Associate / Research Assistant / Technical Assistant (s) (Project Code: R6979) (E&L) (Ref: 26001QB)
Major Duties and Responsibilities
The appointee(s) will assist the Principal Investigator for the Research Project “Developing K-12 students’ AI literacy through project-based learning.” The appointee(s) will be responsible mainly for the following:
Conducting literature searches;
Working with the Principal Investigator to design interdisciplinary AI- and STEAM-based learning curricula (e.g., AI, GenAI, and STEAM), develop research instruments, and prepare reports;
Assisting in data analysis; and
Performing any other duties as assigned by the Principal Investigator.
Candidates
Candidates should possess the following qualifications, experience and competence:
A doctoral degree with a proven track record of research and publication, preferably in Education, Educational Technology, Computer Science, Engineering, or the Social Sciences (for Research Associate);
A Bachelor's degree or above, preferably in Education, Educational Technology, Computer Science, Engineering, or the Social Sciences (for Research Assistant);
At least 5 subjects at Level 2 or above in HKDSE (or equivalent), including Chinese Language, English Language, and Mathematics; preferably current undergraduate students majoring in Education, Educational Technology, Computer Science, Engineering, or the Social Sciences (for Technical Assistant);
Fluency in both written and spoken English or Chinese (Cantonese/ Mandarin); and
Preferably with experience in educational research and/or designing AI- and STEAM-based curricula and activities.
Terms and Conditions for Appointment
Successful candidates will be appointed on a temporary part-time contract. Benefits will be provided in accordance with the statutory provisions.
