Technician (Ref: TND-OP-T-S-CP)

Responsibilities:

Reporting to the Senior Operations Engineer, the appointee will perform the following responsibilities:

• To handle installation, operation & maintenance of transmission cable system accessories, and various alarms associated with the transmission cable system

• To carry out cable fluid treatment for transmission cables, conduct cable fluid feeding in conjunction with transmission cable jointing and O&M activities

• To assist engineers in conducting tests and works on the transmission cable systems

• To conduct cable patrol for underground cable damage prevention
  
  

Requirements:

• HKCEE or DSE with pass in both English and Chinese language;

• Completion of Craft Apprenticeship of Electrical Fitter or equivalent;

• A minimum of 2 years’ relevant working experience in electrical fitting work;

• Knowledge and skills in operating, maintaining, and troubleshooting hydraulic systems, preferably transmission cable hydraulic system

• Self-disciplined, self-motivated with good communication and interpersonal skills

• Good command of both spoken and written Chinese.  Able to understand simple English

• Willing to perform outdoor manual work

• Able to interpret assembly drawings, tools and equipment O&M manuals, etc.

• Holder of a valid driving license for Class 1, 2 and 18 is an advantage
