Training Officer (Temporary Appointment) (two posts) (Ref. 261009001)
[Appointment period: each for twelve months initially, with possibility of further appointment]
Duties
The appointees will assist in the projects - “Early identification and intervention for children and youth in at-risk families” and/or “Uplifting the life trajectories of young parents and their children”. They will be required to:
(a) provide support to daily operations of the project;
(b) provide support to the curriculum design, implementation and operation of the education and training programmes and related activities of the project;
(c) liaise and collaborate with social workers and case managers of non-governmental organisations to co-create, co-design and implement programmes in service settings for young parents and/or at-risk families;
(d) assist in the design, implementation, operation and evaluation of professional training workshops for professionals such as social workers, case managers, etc.;
(e) liaise with internal departments, administrative units and external organisations to execute various events/activities and programmes; and
(f) perform any other duties as assigned by the Head of Unit or his/her delegates.
The appointees may occasionally be required to work irregular hours including weekday evenings, weekends and public holidays.
Qualifications
Applicants should:
(a) have a recognised degree with at least five years of relevant working experience in project management and/or programme development;
(b) have a good command of both written and spoken English and Chinese, with fluency in Putonghua;
(c) have good computer literacy, including but not limited to MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Adobe Acrobat;
(d) possess excellent interpersonal and communication skills;
(e) have good liaison and organisational skills;
(f) be able to work independently;
(g) be highly self-motivated, result-oriented and able to work under pressure; and
(h) be dynamic and mature with the passion to build and sustain strong relationship with stakeholders.
Preference will be given to those with working experience gained in tertiary institutions, similar organisations, and/or family and youth work settings, as well as those with a strong sense of creativity and aesthetics.

Conditions of Service
A highly competitive remuneration package will be offered. Initial appointment will be on a fixed-term gratuity-bearing contract. Re-engagement thereafter is subject to mutual agreement.
