Part-time Lecturer (Culinary Arts and Management)

Major Duties:
The appointee shall engage in teaching and related learning activities, developing programme curriculum, teaching & learning, and assessment materials. He/She shall also support students in their learning, participate in the academic and scholarly activities of the Department, and undertake academic and administrative support services for the Bachelor of Arts (Honours) in Culinary Arts and Management programme, particularly for the Research Methods & Data Analysis module, with English as the Medium of Instruction (MOI).
Reporting to the Programme Leader, the appointee will:
Deliver high-quality teaching in Research Methods & Data Analysis, including lectures, tutorials, seminars, and workshops;
Design, review and update course materials, assessment tasks and learning resources to ensure alignment with contemporary research methodologies and industry-relevant data practices;
Supervise student research projects, dissertations and capstone projects; and
Support students in developing knowledge and practical competencies in both qualitative and quantitative research approaches.
Requirements:
The successful candidate should have a recognised Master’s degree, preferably a Doctoral degree, in Data Analytics or a related discipline. He/She should have at least 4 years’ relevant teaching experience at the tertiary level and/or professional experience in the hospitality industry or related fields.
Notes:
(1) The appointee may be required to perform duties at different locations, and work irregular hours, including weekends, as necessary.
(2) The remuneration package will be competitive and commensurate with the appointee’s qualifications and experience.
(3) The appointee will work at the Chai Wan Campus and/or nearby teaching premises.
