The Hong Kong Investment Corporation Limited (“HKIC”) is dedicated to contributing to the future development of Hong Kong by identifying investment opportunities and strategically promoting the development of target industries, so as to enhance the long-term competitiveness and economic vitality of Hong Kong while generating investment return. It is wholly owned by the HKSAR Government, and consolidates the management of the investment activities of the Hong Kong Growth Portfolio, Greater Bay Area Investment Fund, Strategic Tech Fund, and the Co-Investment Fund. There is now an excellent opportunity for eligible candidates to join the HKIC team with details shown below:
Key Responsibilities
Conduct on-going compliance monitoring of investment activities against legal documentation and established policies and guidelines
Monitor enterprise risks arising from the HKIC’s operations and implement the enterprise risk management framework across the organisation, including facilitating the preparation and maintenance of the risk register to identify risks and formulate controls as well as mitigation measures
Assist in conducting post-deal monitoring of investments through performance review, analysis of co-investment opportunities, capital deployment, distribution, returns and value creation, and assessment of Hong Kong benefits from investments
Review relevant policies and procedures to ensure compliance and alignment with the latest requirements and operational needs
Support in carrying out qualitative and quantitative analytical tasks for investment management and risk management purposes
Perform other assigned duties as required
Requirements
University degree with good academic results in accountancy, economics, finance, investment management, risk management or related fields
At least 4 years of relevant experience in financial services, investment banking, accounting, risk management or related fields
Professional qualification in accountancy, financial analysis or risk management a plus
Experience in commercial / financial / operational due diligence
Good understanding of the Basic Law of the HKSAR
Committed to contributing to the development of Hong Kong and achieving the HKIC’s objectives
Strong sense of integrity and professional ethics
Good understanding of risk and internal controls applicable to organisation
Good team player and willing to take on new challenges and share ideas
Logical and attention to detail
Good command of written and spoken Chinese and English
(Candidates with less experience may be considered for an offer of appointment at Officer level.)
