Unsure future offers work

Online Media

Recruitment in online media is expected to remain bright, with more and more companies and organisations hiring people to handle their online platforms. In the past staff may only have been required to set up and operate websites, but now they may be asked to do more, such as write apps.

The challenge of online and social media is that you never know what will happen next. At the moment, almost everyone is getting into social media and using platforms such as Facebook and Twitter. In five years’ time, however, these platforms may totally vanish and be replaced by brand-new social networking services. Some people find that this unknown future is what makes working in online media fascinating.

Innovation and creativity are vital for those who want to enter this field. They should also always be ready to take on fresh challenges, have a basic understanding of modern technology and a good knowledge of public relations strategies.
