Job Duties:
To plan, develop and maintain project plans for the Windows Operating System upgrade, Infrastructure Equipment Replacement and EDR implementation, including scope, schedule, milestones, and risk management.
To plan and coordinate the procurement of computer hardware, software, and IT services and perform vendor management in accordance with operational requirements and established government guidelines and procedures.
To allocate and manage computer facilities for around 400 staff stationed at Tamar and remote office(s).
To design a flexible and scalable network architecture and IT support arrangement to accommodate evolving operational requirements.
To facilitate provision of dedicated PCs and network equipment connected to cross-departmental networks to enable access to various bureaux/department internal systems.
To provide professional advice on IT-related expenditures, including hardware, software, and services, and support budget planning and control.
To ensure compliance with relevant IT policies, standards, and security requirements.
To coordinate with internal stakeholders
To oversee system testing, user acceptance, deployment scheduling, and post-implementation support.
To manage risks and operational impacts associated with system upgrade and security implementation.
To monitor project progress and provide regular reports to management.
Requirement Details:
Degree holder
At least 10 years’ experience in IT industry
Proven experience in managing IT infrastructure implementation and/or system deployment projects.
Experience in office IT setup, LAN/network implementation, mobile devices, and enterprise desktop and server environment management.
Experience in managing operating system upgrade projects, infrastructure replacement projects and/or IT security solution implementation (e.g. EDR) is highly desirable.
At least 3 years’ experience work with/in Government project
Experience in project planning, budgeting, vendor coordination, and resource management.
Strong leadership and coordination skills with the ability to manage multiple projects concurrently.
Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with demonstrated capability in managing risks and issues.
Ability to adapt to changing project requirements and work effectively under pressure.
Good command of written and spoken English and Chinese.
