Executive Officer I (carrying the job title of ‘Senior Operations Manager’) (Ref. 2600018Q) (Closing date: August 4, 2026)
The appointee will report directly to the Head of the Communications and Public Relations Office (CPR) and will be responsible for (a) managing and overseeing the Finance, Human Resources, and Administrative functions of the Office; (b) overseeing and preparing the CPR budget, as well as supervising accounting operations to ensure compliance and governance; (c) overseeing the HR recruitment cycle, providing senior HR advisory input to management for decision making, and directing HR operations including recruitment and talent development; (d) enhancing administrative and operational workflows, co ordinating ad hoc operational projects and service enhancement initiatives, and managing, mentoring, and developing the administration team; and (e) performing other duties as assigned.
Applicants should have (i) a good Bachelor’s degree from a recognized university; (ii) fulfilled the language requirements set out on the website: https://www.hro.cuhk.edu.hk/en-gb/languageforeo; (iii) an excellent command of written and spoken English and Chinese (including Cantonese and Putonghua); (iv) at least 8 to 10 years’ solid post-qualification executive and supervisory experience, preferably within the tertiary education sector or public bodies; (v) a proven track record of handling finance, HR and/or administrative duties in a sizeable organisation; (vi) good organisational and people management skills, and attentiveness to detail; (vii) a proactive work attitude and a strong sense of responsibility; (viii) sensitivity in handling restricted and confidential information; (ix) good communication and interpersonal skills; and (x) the ability to work independently under tight schedules.
