Responsibilities

  • Act as Responsible Officer with management responsibilities and duties to supervise SFC Type 9 regulated activity of the Group
  • Establish business plans and procedures to support the asset management business strategy of the Group
  • Lead the set-up of public funds / authorized funds and investment fund product launch
  • Construct and allocate assets for the investment portfolios
  • Drive investment performance in accordance with the investment return targets and risks of the portfolios
  • Perform periodic performance review of the investment portfolios and monitor risk exposures
  • Ensure that the asset management operations comply with relevant regulatory requirements and applicable laws

Requirements

  • University degree in Accounting, Business Administration, Economics, Finance or a related discipline, professional qualifications such as CFA / FRM are preferred
  • Holder of Responsible Officer license with the SFC for Type 9 regulated activity or passes in HKSI Licensing Examination Papers 1, 6, 7 and 12 or equivalent required
  • Minimum of 10 years asset management experience preferably in sizable financial institutions or fund houses with exposure of fund structure set up, fund operations and portfolio management
  • Proven track record as a key investment personnel in set-up of public funds / authorized funds is required
  • Solid knowledge of SFC rules and guidelines and local regulatory requirements
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to communicate with all levels of stakeholders
  • Excellent command in spoken and written English and Chinese, fluency in Mandarin
