Assistant Administrative Manager I/II
School of Graduate Studies

The School of Graduate Studies is established for strengthening the central support for postgraduate programmes as well as the monitoring of their quality in alignment with the University’s strategic direction of expanding and providing quality postgraduate education.  

Responsibilities
• Provide a wide range of administrative support to matters pertaining to postgraduate studies, from academic quality assurance of programmes, admissions, registration, records, assessment and financial sponsorships, to day-to-day academic services to postgraduate students
• Provide secretarial support to committees
• Perform any other duties as assigned by supervisor(s)

Requirements
• A good first degree plus at least 7 years of relevant experience (those with 5-7 years of experience will be considered for the post of Assistant Administrative Manager II), preferably in supporting research postgraduate matters
• Considerable administrative experience with a high level of competence in committee work
• Very strong analytical and logical thinking, and interpersonal, communication, coordination and problem solving skills 
• A very good command of written and verbal English and Chinese (including Putonghua), especially with a high level of English proficiency in writing reports, proposals and minutes Strong interpersonal, communication and problem solving skills
• The ability to take the initiative and to carry out duties independently and under tight schedule 
• A strong sense of responsibility
• Previous experience in automation of processes and knowledge of IT applications will be a definite advantage

Candidates with less/more experience will also be considered for appointment at a relevant rank.

The rank and commencing salary will be commensurate with qualifications and experience.  Fringe benefits, where applicable, include annual leave, medical and dental benefits, mandatory provident fund and gratuity.
