Responsibilities:

  • To provide support and technical inputs to the planning, organisation and implementation of all Lift Modernisation Subsidy Scheme (LIMSS) related programs and activities
  • To carry out site inspections for lifts and associated equipment, including the lift machine room, lift shaft and lift pit, etc.
  • To audit and monitor the works of consultants and lift contractors
  • To prepare reports and assist in administration works related to LIMSS
  • To handle enquiries and assist Owners / IOs in reaching common decision, helping to resolve matters relating to BMO, DMC and IO formation, providing advice on technical matters, arrangement of lift maintenance contracts, resources available, as well as relevant policies and procedures, etc.
  • To promote and propagate LIMSS and other rehabilitation schemes by presenting the Authority’s rehabilitation concepts to stakeholders and to establish effective relationship with stakeholders including consultants, lift contractors, property owners, IOs, building management offices and other owners related organisation with a view to securing their support and cooperation 

Requirements:

  • Diploma or Higher Certificate holder in lift engineering, building services engineering, electrical engineering, electronic engineering, marine engineering, mechanical engineering or equivalent qualifications
  • Degree holder in the relevant disciplines would be an advantage
  • Familiar with computer applications and word processing
  • Minimum 5 years’ relevant experience
  • 10 years’ relevant experience would be an advantage
  • Relevant experience in installation, operation and maintenance of lift systems would be an advantage
  • Relevant experience in supervision of contractors and subordinates to perform the above installation, operation and maintenance activities is a plus
