Job Posting Details

The Office of Knowledge Transfer (KT) at The Hong Kong University of Science and Technology is looking for a suitable appointee for the position of Assistant Manager. The appointee will be responsible for the governance of KT operations and support digital transformation.

Major responsibilities include: 

  • Assist in developing KT engagement schemes for knowledge transfer to the general public for R & D projects;
  • Provide administrative support to the funding programs such as Bridge Gap Fund, Joint Research Institutes and Collaborative Innovation Centre's projects, etc;
  • Engage with external organizations to explore opportunities of working with our faculty through funding support for translational research;
  • Provide project management support to facilitate various meetings such as project vetting and progress review;
  • Be responsible for the digital transformation, such as the development of e-form and activities associated with IT and digital transformation, etc;
  • Handle master data management for digital transformation such as data collection, data classification and content update for website and social media;
  • Handle implementation of Enterprise Content Management (ECM) and enhancement of contents of KT Hub; and
  • Perform any other duties as assigned from time to time.

Applicants should have a bachelor’s degree in science, engineering, IT area or equivalent with at least 3 years of relevant post-qualification work experience. Preference will be given to candidates with solid experience and a high level of familiarity with the government or university setting and university-industry collaboration. The appointee must have an excellent command of both spoken and written English and Chinese (including Putonghua). High proficiency in computer and MS Office applications, numerical accuracy and attention to details are necessary. A service-oriented mindset and the ability to work both independently and in a team are essential. He/She should be mature, self-motivated, good at multi-tasking and with good communication, interpersonal and organizational skills. He/She should also be able to deal with people from different backgrounds and cultures. (Duration: 1 year)
