Responsibilities

  • First point of contact for customers during the sales cycle around the solution design for a set of carrier customers.
  • Ability to combine abilities to meet with customers with suggesting appropriate business solutions.
  • Provide architectural governance on standard and non-standard pre-sales technical design and solution support to international Business / Carrier Business to achieve annual acquisition revenue as well as assisting in the retention and growth within the base.
  • Leading proof-of-concept, translate/prepare/evaluate/present technical solutions to all levels
  • Assist materially in the preparation of responses to RFPs.
  • Work closely with internal Sales, Product, Engineering, Business Planning, IT & other areas of the business, including external partners / vendors.
  • Engage with the service fulfilment team to ensure there is consistency in high quality designs and feasible for on time delivery of solution.
  • Work in a tight knit team that will grow in line with customer acquisition through knowledge sharing / training.
  • Be flexible balancing pre-sales, technical support and service fulfilment responsibility occasionally at any given time.
  • Conference & trade show presentation and support
  • Ability to travel to customer site / attend industry conference / attend technologies forums in either overseas or Mainland China
  • Be aware of and comply with all corporate policies

 

Requirements

  • Proven 3-5 years in similar technical support role or role with associated customer-facing skills within a telecommunication technical support environment
  • Technical understanding of optical networking, LAN/WAN technologies, GPON, data centre co-location, CDN, IEPL/MPLS VPN & DIA services
  • Cisco certification, knowledge of Cloud based services, VMware appliance, wholesale VOIP, UC service will be an advantage
  • Strong commercial awareness to complement excellent technical and solution comprehension.
  • Strong sense of responsibility, professional, multi-tasking, systematic problem solver
  • Team oriented, willingness, responsible, friendly and driven attitude to develop and increase revenues through sales and pre-sales consultancy engagements.
  • Quick learner and adapt to a fast pace environment
  • Excellent interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills in English, Putonghua and Cantonese
