Digital Communications Intern for South East and North Asia

Nielsen is a world leader in marketing information and data collection on media consumption and usage. Better understanding the consumer is the key to making decisions that help companies grow. The innovation at Nielsen is considered essential to keep pace with market trends and with increasingly discerning and demanding consumers.

Based in Hong Kong, the Digital Communications Intern will create internal and external materials for our corporate branding, events and trainings. The materials will be in line with Nielsen templates and guidelines and will include newsletters, emails, posters, videos, posts for professional social media and support with any career events.

The intern will focus exclusively on digital marketing for the South East Asia and North East Asia region and work closely with the HR leaders for the digital marketing for Nielsen.

Responsibilities

For internal and external communications, in line with Nielsen standards, the intern should create:

  • Videos - from filming, sound and editing
  • Materials such as posters, graphics, videos, online content for various HR initiatives
  • Materials for recruitment and professional social media sites
  • Manage the external profile and communications on social media of the HR leads

Requirements

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills in English. Any other Asian language would be a plus
  • Strong knowledge of business English, both written & verbal
  • Basic knowledge of CMS Wordpress
  • Professional use Microsoft Excel
  • Fully proficient in Microsoft Powerpoint
  • Fully proficient in Google Slides
  • Adobe creative suite
  • Video production experience
  • Wordpress
  • Sprinklr

The ideal candidate should be able to use the above programmes to create all digital content including videos as well as posters and presentations.

The ideal candidate. You must be able to work as part of a team, while managing projects independently with minimal supervision and in a timely manner. Nielsen is a fast-paced environment so you will need to be agile with your work, managing ad hoc requests and global process. A pro-active, can-do attitude and high work ethic are a must.
