Our Client is a private investment holding group with diversified investments and operations in Hong Kong and the international markets. To cope with the fast expanding portfolio of real estates, securities and other assets, they are looking for an experienced accounting and finance professional to join their executive team. 




The Financial Controller is a key member of the Executive Management team and provides leadership and coordination in the accounting, control, investment support, risk management, business planning, budgeting, compliance, and management reporting. The position reports to the CFO of the Group and manages a team of accounting and finance staff.




  • Enhance and implement financial and accounting systems, processes, tools and control systems and ensure maintenance of appropriate internal controls and financial procedures
  • Ensure timeliness, accuracy and usefulness of financial and management reporting as well as accurate filing of all tax returns
  • Ensure timely legal and regulatory compliance regarding all financial functions
  • Devise effective financial planning and management, including budget preparation, cashflow management and re-forecasting
  • Provide detailed analysis of financial results and insights ensuring implications are well-understood and learnt (strategic and tactical)
  • Deploy effective, efficient processes, systems and tools related to use of financial information to enable high-performance governance and management
  • Implement liquidity planning/cash management and capital budget incorporating Investment Committee decisions, company needs and portfolio company requirements
  • Optimize risk management strategies, including asset protection, insurance, and investment oversight
  • Work with the CEO and executive management team in the development and implementation of strategic plan
  • Assist in financial and economic due diligence of prospective investment deals and the structuring of terms for new and ongoing deals
  • Manage banking/brokerage relationships with the group and the related documentations and credit ratings
  • Supervise hiring, training and mentorship of financial management staff
  • Participate in other internal committees and task forces initiated or as needed


Requirements :

  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, tax or related discipline
  • Qualified accountant with 15+ years in senior‐level finance or accounting position with deep experience in accounting, treasury, financial planing and analysis and compliance; Big 4 background preferred
  • Broad experiences with the financial services industry (private equity, hedge fund, private banking) and/or family offices
  • Strong tax skills with deep knowledge of various investment entities, individual and corporate taxations, direct investment and M&A transactions
  • Demonstrated supervisory and employee relation skills
  • Fluent in spoken and written English and Chinese
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
