The shortlisted candidate will be assigned to Government projects to perform the following duties:

 

Job Duties:

  • To act as team lead for a group of resident helpdesk support staff from in-house and/or from
  • service contractor
  • To monitor the performance of the resident helpdesk support staff
  • To support end user for their PC (including desktop and notebook computers) /mobile device operating systems (OS), hardware, applications and peripherals
  • To prepare training materials such as manuals and train helpdesk support staff and end users on how to operate PC/mobile device, including OS and other common applications
  • To support, maintain and upgrade PCs/mobile devices and apply patches and updates, etc. to the PCs/mobile devices
  • To provide system support on different software such as Microsoft Windows AD / DNS / DHCP / File & Print Sharing/Quota and virtualization Server infrastructure (e.g. VMWare) etc.
  • To work with internal and external IT system owners to solve technical issues
  • To perform security monitoring, security patch updating and take corrective action
  • To liaise with vendors and coordinate with users during project implementation and system maintenance
  • To prepare and maintain helpdesk materials, such as service catalogue, FAQs
  • To provide technical support services, either on-site, by email or on phone, including but not limited to Microsoft Windows Server, iOS, Microsoft Windows for PCs and Microsoft Office applications
  • To conduct other administrative tasks and support activities as requested

 

Requirement Details:

  • Holder of University degree in Computer Subjects or equivalent
  • Possess at least 8 years solid working experiences which shall fall into the following areas:
    • helpdesk management
    • troubleshooting and configuration of hardware, such as PC desktops, notebook computers, mobile devices, network equipment and peripherals
    • Microsoft Windows administration and configuration
  • Knowledge of Software (iOS, Windows 7 / 10, Offices 2016, Symantec Altiris), PC desktop/notebook/ iOS mobile device, and peripheral such as printer, scanner. Experiences in supporting these are preferable.
  • Holder of MCSE is preferable.
  • Proficiency in both spoken and written Cantonese and English
