Job Responsibilities:
 
1. Supporting the head chef in the general running of the kitchen
2. Preparing and serving food at the counter while interacting with customers
3. Helping in food sourcing & procurement
4. Helping the head chef to create food menus
5. Managing inventory and keeping control of stock
6. Managing and training the kitchen staff, including setting the monthly duty roster
7. Supervising all food preparation
8. Ensuring the kitchen meets high standards of quality
9. Complying with and enforcing sanitation regulations and safety standards
10. Deputizing for the head chef in their absence.
 
Requirements:
 
- Native Japanese speaker and daily conversational level in English/Mandarin or Good Japanese and Mandarin
- 6 years or above Omakase experience
- Familiar with industry’s best practices
- A good team player with strong communication and supervisory skills
