Founded in 1884, The Hong Kong Jockey Club is a world-class racing club that acts continuously for the betterment of our society.

The Club has a unique integrated business model, comprising racing and racecourse entertainment, a membership club, responsible sports wagering and lottery, and charities and community contribution. Through this model, the Club generates economic and social value for the community and supports the Government in combatting illegal gambling. In 2019/20, the Club made a record return to the Government of HK$19.9 billion in duty and profits tax and contributed HK$0.8 billion to the Lotteries Fund. Approved charity and community donations were HK$4.5 billion.

The Club is Hong Kong's largest single taxpayer and one of the city’s major employers. Its Charities Trust is also one of the world's top ten charity donors. The Club is always "riding high together for a better future" with the people of Hong Kong.

Marketing Officer
The Job
You will:
  • co-ordinate with internal or cross divisional stakeholders to plan, implement and follow ups on events management and execute marketing campaigns in an integrated manner, and achieve the Club's racing marketing and communications objectives
  • co-ordinate and work independently with external agencies/vendors/creative team to ensure quality of execution and deliverables of both above and below the line communication materials are in alignment with the Club’s standards and sponsors’ objectives
  • implement through-the-line marketing campaigns, specialized skills on design, print production, digital communication and social media is essential
  • compile and co-ordinate product information and racing content for sponsors’ promotions
  • monitor media effectiveness and customer response
  • provide support to the team’s operation and ad-hoc projects
  • have to standby after work or on public holiday or duty on race meeting
About You
You should have:
  • a degree in marketing, business or related discipline
  • a minimum of 4 years’ experience in marketing, client servicing, PR or hospitality
  • flexibility in shift duty arrangements on weekends
  • knowledge and passion in horse racing will be an advantage
  • understanding of print production, design creative, digital communications and social media
  • excellent interpersonal, communication and analytical skills, detail-minded and be creative, proactive and result-oriented
  • ability to be self-directed, multi-task oriented, and work under pressure to meet deadlines
  • excellent written communication skills, great attention to details
  • good command in both written and spoken English and Chinese
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Applications (e.g. PowerPoint, Excel, Word)
