We are currently seeking a high caliber professional to join our team as Planning Support Manager. 

In this role, you will

  • Formulating the strategic direction of HSBC Services Technology support for the Insurance business in Hong Kong
  • Translating HSBC Services Technology strategies into local initiatives
  • Coordination of Annual Technology and Operating Plan activities in the Chief Operations Officer's office
  • Monitoring execution of the Annual Technology Plan
  • Monitoring and managing Technology and Operations costs
  • Implementation of an effective operational model to system development life cycle
  • Quality assurance, regulatory and audit requirements relating to activities managed by HSBC Services Technology
  • Oversight of change the bank governance and controls over project delivery life cycle
  • Reporting and management of portfolio risk and issues
  • Order book planning and reporting capacity, resources and costs
  • Maintenance of portfolio plans

To be successful in this role, you should meet the following requirements

  • Educated to undergraduate or postgraduate degree level in a Technology, Accountancy, Finance or relevant field.
  • Track record of project management and change execution, working in a relevant area of Insurance, Information Technology or Operations.
  • Established financial acumen.
  • Experience of working in a complex financial services organisation.
  • Insurance business knowledge would be desirable.
  • Experience of working with data and preparation of documents and materials in a timely manner for presentation purpose
  • Communication and interpersonal skills, including the capacity to articulate the case for investments and assess alternatives in the language of business.
  • Ability to understand and interpret complex business requirements.
  • Experience of working across business and cultural boundaries.
