ALBA Integrated Waste Solutions (Hong Kong) Ltd. (ALBA IWS) is a joint venture company which was established between the recycling specialist ALBA Group from Germany and local solid waste management service provider Integrated Waste Solutions Group Holdings Limited. (IWS).

The Hong Kong Government entered into a contract with ALBA IWS to design and build the Waste Electrical and Electronic Equipment Treatment and Recycling Facility (WEEETRF), provide a collection service and operate the facility until 2027. The facility will use state-of-the art technology provided by the ALBA Group to process refrigerators, TVs, computers, washing machines and air conditioners into valuable secondary raw materials while controlling the management of the hazardous materials that are contained in this equipment. (A)Job Descriptions:

- Carry out process review for safety and productivity improvement in the WEEE collection, transportation, storage, treatment and disposal processes

- Conduct HAZOP / Job Hazard Analysis for existing and new logistics and plant operations

- Lead the implementation of the safety and environmental management system and maintain ISO14001 and ISO45001 certifications

- Maintain relevant safety & environmental licenses and permits required for company operation

- Investigate accidents and incidents, produce reports and compile relevant statistics

- Review EOHS training needs of staff and formulate training plans

 

(B) Job Requirements:

- An honour degree in production, mechanical or a related engineering discipline

- Registered Safety Officer preferred; or with formal qualification leading to registration

- At least 5 years working experience in industrial process design and/or improvements

- Computer literacy in MS-Word, Excel and Powerpoint

- Good communication and interpersonal skills

- Holder of driving licence Class 1 and 2 preferable
