Group Exposure Role

 

Key Responsibilities

  • Key contact in SSC (both Reporting & Accounting and Payable & Treasury team) for Group Finance
  • Managing the multiple interfaces internally within Group Finance & SSC functions to ensure their needs are fully understood and met and consistently applied
  • Reviewing and ensuring management reporting in relation to Group Overhead costs by cost centers are accurate, exceptional items and project costs are booked correctly below the line
  • Review the existing SSC processes in terms of Group Overhead, including internal SSC processes as well as month end recharges to VGMAL, propose improvement where see fits
  • Escalate key issues to the upper level as appropriate (SSC Director, Director of Group FP&A and Group Controller) for resolution
  • Ensuring all Group Finance policies, processes and procedures are known, understood and consistently applied
  • Driving standardized processes and methods
  • Actual vs Budget variance analysis in mid term
  • Provide support to FP&A team during budget period

 

Requirements / Qualifications

The successful candidate should possess the following:

  • Minimum of 6 years of experience within the accounting field.
  • Experience with closing full set of book
  • Demonstrated experience working within a dynamic environment of change
  • MNC or regional experience or experience in matrix organisation is preferred
  • Bachelor degree in Finance, Accounting or related disciplines
  • Qualified accountant with membership of CPA/ ACCA preferred
  • Strong stakeholder management skills coupled with excellent communication skills to deal with people of various backgrounds/ working styles
  • Client orientated with an assertive mind-set to solve problems /issues for the business
  • Multitasking with positive "can do" attitude
  • Ability to work independently and think out of the box
  • Ability to gather clear business requirements and defines approaches to address user's needs
  • Flexible approach and adaptable to a changing working environment
  • Proficiency in MS Office application with advanced Excel skill is mandatory
  • Knowledge of SAP Business One and ViewPoint is key
  • Proficiency in HFM (Hyperion), Smart View report building is highly advantageous
  • Professional fluency in both written and oral English and Cantonese
  • Conversational Mandarin skill is an advantage
